Our New Home!!

The Board is happy to announce we have found new practice space for the dancers.  Following Mosaic, the Regina Senior Citizens Centre approached us with the opportunity to use their facility for our practices and to give us a small amount of storage for the Instructors as well.

The board met immediately and unanimously decided it was time to move the dance group.  There are many advantages of the new space, one being, the opportunity to practice in the facility we will be performing in for Mosaic and all of our fundraisers.  We are all very excited about the change and hope that you will be as well.

We will continue to use the back door where we entered as volunteers during Mosaic.  You can check it out at the AGM on September 8th and see what you think.

Registration Night

Please join us for our annual registration night. All new and returning dancers are welcome!!!

If you are returning, please remember to BRING YOUR COSTUMES with you.  The instructors will check them for any repairs that might be needed.

You can also bring your registration form with you.  This is a fillable PDF so you can simply click and fill in the information and print the pages.  Everything you need is in this one document so there are less individual pages to fill in this year.

The Board and Instructors are very excited to get the year underway.  Dance will begin on September 28th and 29th.  A letter from the instructors will be provided at registration with the information you need regarding practice times, groups, etc.

We all look forward to seeing you!

Mosaic 2014 Volunteers Required

If you are interested in volunteering for Mosaic this year with the Romanian Pavilion, please let us know. We can use volunteers in a variety of areas of the pavilion including the kitchen, hall, bar, security, store, and photo booth.

Shifts are 3 hours long. Thursday and Friday have shifts beginning at 5:00 and 8:00 pm. Saturday shifts begin at 2:00, 5:00 and 8:00 pm. This means you have plenty of time to visit other pavilions in the meantime as well.

If you are a student who is looking to get in your volunteer hours, we would be glad to sign off on those as well. Even if they are for the 2014-2015 school year!

As a thank you for volunteering we offer our volunteers $10 in vouchers to use in the kitchen after their shift has ended. Mmmmm….cabbage rolls and perigees with a side of mititei….who could resist.

Contact us at miorita.dancers@gmail.com to find out more about specific shift availability and let us help you get into the Mosaic spirit

Miorita Friends & Family Spring Tea

Even though we are not having our Annual Spring Showcase & Banquet, we are having a private function for Miorita Family and Friends.  On April 27th at Cochrane High School we will host a tea and will showcase the children who have been working so hard this year to prepare for Mosaic.  The tea will be from 2:00-4:oo pm.  We will have dainties provided by the families of the dancers as well as coffee and tea.  This is an opportunity to invite Grandma and Grandpa, Aunts and Uncles, whomever is special to you and your family to come and cheer on the kids while they try out their new moves.

Here is the poster to share with those you invite!  Family Tea
